My Sister Site – Stella & Dot

So as most of you know, I had been doing some posting on becoming a Stella & Dot stylist.  I decided that it just didn’t come across, well ok to have jewelry posting on a food blog.  When sending out the post it comes from Two Girls Cooking.  So I have what I’ll call my “Sister Site” now for blogging on my adventure of all things Stella & Dot.

I have so many different posts that I need to get caught up on for this blog as well.

 I made a pizza that I found on Facebook.  The crust was made with cream cheese.  That was fabulous!  I’m hoping to get to that real soon.

Calling All New Stylists

I’ve shown this little picture to you all about stella & dot hiring.  I get inspired when I listen to how others are doing so well.  It puts so much more passion into what I’m doing and thriving for.  THE most common thing I’m told when I approach someone about hosting a Trunk Show or even becoming a stella & dot stylist is “I’m too busy!”.   I understand that as much as the next person.  But what I also know is that (and it was confirmed today by others) is that when you love what you do, you’ll find the time to do it!

The call that I heard was geared more towards teachers and how they have succeeded at becoming stylists with stella & dot and have either quit working full time or are making more money with less work time (fun work time might I add) than with what they are doing now.

I love teachers.  Teachers should get paid a high salary.  They spend the most time with our children, they have to deal with our children’s attitudes, but most importantly they are teaching our children.  They are teaching our children.  And when I hear stories of success from teachers that they love what they do AND they love being a stella & dot stylist, it is so inspiring.

One of the stylists from the call had said that she was in financial hardship.  They had to sell things to keep money coming in.  She had seen an ad online for celebrity style stella & dot jewelry.  She looked it up, did some research and found out how much it cost to become a stylist. She had a rocking chair that she had saved and decided to sell it for $199.  The cost of the starter kit!  She talked to her husband about it and he agreed.  She signed on last November (if I remember correctly) and has already made $80,000 in retail sales.  She is a Star Stylist.  What is a Star Stylist? It means I have a team of stylists underneath her, of which 4 or more of them sell over $780 a month in jewelry, and I then sell over $2300 in jewelry to earn 12% of their sales.

Right now I have one stylist under me and that made me a Lead Stylist.  I found an article called Is stella & dot Right For Me.  I took some of her wording above for the star stylist.  But read her article as well.  It gives a perspective from someone other than me.  There are so many people that are hurting for income.  Yes, you have to come up with $199 to get your business going, but you have all the online training you’ll need.  You’ll have team meetings once a month, you’ll have great support from your sponsor.  AND you have fun doing so.  You’ll have fun doing so.

One thing I did learn is that people over think when it comes to doing something like this.  I know I didn’t need much time or convincing to become a stylist.  I love the brand.  I loved how the flow of the shows work.  I love how you can make of it what you want.  I love how you meet new people and grow new friendships.  I love how stella & dot reward you for doing so well.

And this month there is another great reason to sign on.  You will get an extra $100 in product!

Hostess & Stylist Rewards

June has some pretty great specials for hostesses AND their guests.  It’s called Dot Dollars.

Dot Dollars – Jewelry Edition is a promotion where customers are rewarded for shopping with Stella & Dot!  During the month of June, customers will earn $25 in Dot Dollars for every $50+ transaction with Stella & Dot. During July 3-11 (the ‘redemption period’), one $25 Dot Dollars certificate can be applied to each $50 spent on jewelry.

This includes hostesses as well.

Now first off, don’t forget to sign up for the free Zebra Print Pouf on my last stella & dot post.   But, hosting your own Trunk Show is going to be one of the funnest parties you’ve had.  Trunk Shows are very laid back.  You can have a girls night out!  An afternoon brunch party with some Mimosas and light snacks. Girls love to get together.  And when there is shopping involved, well girls love to have fun AND shop.

The stella & dot collection has a beautiful new bag collection as well.

Not only that but half of their line is under $50.

I had my first Trunk Show in March of this year.  I haven’t had any parties for a long time.  But one of my friends had one and I really liked the product, the flow of how the show went.  There were no games to play, there wasn’t a forced feeling of hosting a show by drawing a ticket or anything.  The product was displayed on a table and you got to try it all one.  Once you walk in the door a beautiful piece of jewelry was put on!!  I loved it.   The stylist was very laid back.  She was there to answer questions and help us all feel comfortable with what we wanted to wear or what we were looking for.  So I decided to have a show.  At the end of my show I was talking to Ann (my sponsor) asking questions about stella & dot.  I told her how I loved their product, especially their girls line and now the bags.  Most Trunk Show sales make an average of between $500-$1000 in sales.  That gives the hostess around $250 in FREE product PLUS 4 items at half off.  I had to do this.

So Ann gave me all of the information I needed to become a stylist.  I joined a call with the CEO one night and decided I had to take advantage of this great product that I love and become an Independent Stylist myself.  There was a special for signing up during the month of March as there is now.

To become a stylist doesn’t cost much out of pocket expense.  In fact, you’ll make that back and more during your first month of Trunk Shows.

In my first one of Jumpstart I had 4 qualifying shows at $300 or over with 4 orders each.  That gave me a total of $3oo in free product PLUS a bonus of $150 put on my stella & dot card (your paycheck gets loaded onto a Visa stella & dot card).

I then went on to Sponsor a friend of mine who went on to meet her Jumpstart in her first month, PLUS I met my 2 qualifying shows of $300 or more in sales in May.  That gave me a total of:

I’ve gotten the opportunity to sit at a salon for a day to host a “Mystery Show”.  I had put names down for all that made a purchase and or booked a Trunk Show. At the end of that day I drew a name to receive the credits from the sales of that show.  Just by stopping by my table.
